There are narcissists out there who are aware of those who lack self-confidence and self-love.
Who wouldn’t like someone who comes along and displays chivalry? Well, not if they are using it with selfish intent by utilizing the love language of affectionate words and showering you with extra attention.
They do it in a way that is similar to baiting.
By sending you unusual amounts of complements as if throwing out a fishing line and waiting to see if you’ll bite.
A person who is insecure, lacks self-confidence, and isn’t used to this kind of attention may risk being lured in.
Once a person is lured in, the narcissist will create a friendship or relationship that is toxic by separating you from the rest of the group of friends so that they get you codependent on them.
Narcissists who use this tactic are fully aware of using this to emotionally manipulate you to get your guard down so they can have access to you energetically through your emotions.
